''Electric Soup'' a.k.a. ''Electric Soup: The Singles Collection'' is the first compilation album by iconic〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=ARIA Awards 2007: About Hall of Fame )〕〔 〕 Australian rock group Hoodoo Gurus and contained all their Australian singles to date (September 1992). The album peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart, and was certified triple platinum. For the Electric Soup Tour in November of that year, Hoodoo Gurus were supported by Died Pretty and the Welcome Mat.〔 It was also released as a 2-CD set with ''Gorilla Biscuit'', a collection of their b-sides and rarities.〔 Brad Shepherd, the group's lead guitarist described the albums "You just have to listen to (Soup'' ), it's just jam packed full of pretty groovy songs... The best of was always the record company's idea and the B-side was always our idea to combat that. We think if a best of is representative of a band then a B-side album is even more representative." At the ARIA Music Awards ''Electric Soup'' was noted as BMG's biggest selling domestic album of the year.
